This application contains private data either created by you or created by others and shared with you. It also may contain data that you or others have chosen to share publicly.

After being encrypted, this data is sent to a cloud server that provides backup and synchronization with other devices. But don’t worry — since the keys to this data remain on your device, whoever runs this cloud server won’t be able to access any data. In other words, all private data belongs to its creator, and can only be accessed by those with permission to view it. Nobody else, including us, can access any of this private data, resulting in:

• No surveillance
• No snooping
• No monetization of data

Remember, the data that you share publicly is public and therefore accessible to anyone, so take care with what you choose to share openly. Welcome to a new way of thinking about data ownership and privacy. Regardless of how you choose to share it, your data should — and will — always belong to you.

Account Information. Using atBuzz does not require a “user” account, because you access the service via your atSign. You may optionally add information to the atBuzz profiles you create, including text and photos. This information is end-to-end encrypted.

Messages. atBuzz cannot decrypt or otherwise access the content of text / SMS or email messages or calls that are launched via the app. Your data is stored on your own devices.

Contacts. atBuzz does not have information about the contacts you have in the app.

People Support. If you contact our Support team, any personal data you may share with us is kept only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.

Third Parties. We work with third parties to provide some of our Services. For example, if you launch a phone call or text message via the app, your phone service provider will provide that Service. These providers are bound by their Privacy Policies to safeguard that information. If you use other Third-Party Services like YouTube, Spotify, Giphy, etc. in connection with our Services, their Terms and Privacy Policies govern your use of those services.

• To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• To enforce applicable Terms, including investigation of potential violations.
• To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• To protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of atBuzz, our customers, or the public as required or permitted by law. We would share only what we have access to. Your data is encrypted and only you have the keys.
